THE INTERLOCKING SYSTEM
Our Blockhouses are an evolution of the older building system known as Log-house. Traditionally known in Nordic European and American countries and used in the construction of mountain huts, refuges and chalets, the Log-house system involved the use of whole logs machined and interlocked together giving shape to the walls of the dwelling. Hence the evolution to the Blockhaus system consisting of wooden beams, solid or laminated, of spruce, machined with high-precision machines to ensure perfect interlocking, ensuring perfect structural stability of the building.
Our walls can have two different thicknesses: 6 cm, consisting of single plank, or 12 cm per bilam plank (glulam), both with the possibility of associating an insulating coating (10-12 cm coat typically made of wood fiber), ensuring maximum thermal comfort.
The exterior finish can be enhanced by keeping the wood exposed or plastered.
