Established in 1957, AIZ, the Italian Galvanizing Association, is the trade association of the hot dip galvanizing industry in Italy.

Its main objective is the development of the use of hot dip galvanizing for the protection of steel against corrosion.

It is among the European founding associations of EGGA – European General Galvanizers Association.

AIZ is member of ASSOMET, National Association of Non-Ferrous Metals Industries.

AIZ follows scientific and research activities both at national and at international level; promotes studies for the development of new products and the improvement of the existing ones; collaborates with various Institutes and Italian Universities; publishes technical and informative books and papers.

AIZ holds conferences and seminars; promotes collaboration and exchange of information between people, Entities, Organizations and other Institutions that pursue similar purposes.

AIZ participates in the development, drafting and revision of national and international technical standards as part of the activities of ISO, CEN, UNI, Unimet, CEI Committees.

AIZ promotes the use of structural steel together with Federacciai, UNICMI, CTA e Fondazione Promozione Acciaio.

AIZ provides continuous support to designers and end users to determine the best result of the hot dip galvanizing applications.
